Kaze collection
Arc 1
With his first exhibition Kaze (“wind” in Japanese), he offers a reflection on the wind as a metaphor for movement and change, a necessary passage to transform oneself and move forward.
Painter Kobena was born and raised in Nanterre, in the suburbs of Paris. He developed his practice of drawing, and later painting, as a sensitive language through which he explores what cannot be expressed in words.
His portraits, conceived as encounters, reveal presences marked by an inner strength and a spiritual dimension. Nourished by his travels and by a dialogue between cultures, his work stands at the crossroads of his Ivorian roots and his Asian influences.
In this continuity, he created Béna, a hybrid alphabet inspired by Bété and Japanese, extending his exploration of identity and language.
